Rydel out on loan for season

STOCKPORT County defender Ryan Rydel has joined Exeter City on a season-long loan deal.

The 24-year-old has made 105 appearances for the Club since joining from Fleetwood Town in 2021, winning both the National League and League Two titles during his time at Edgeley Park.
The wing-back suffered an ACL injury in training in September 2023, keeping him out of action for almost 12 months. Ryan returned from that challenging period to make 22 appearances last season, registering three assists.
Looking to build on that during the 2025/26 campaign, he now joins an Exeter City side that finished 16th in League One last season, as The Grecians prepare for their fourth straight season in the third tier.
Club CEO Simon Wilson said: "Ryan has gone through a difficult time recovering from his ACL injury, but is out the other side of that now and keen to get momentum in his career again.
