Youngsters are given a taste for hill racing

Primary pupils from schools all over Stirling were hitting the heights as part of an extra special race on some of the region's stunning scenery.

The hills around Strathyre played host to the Mini Stuc a' Chroin Hill Race on May 1, with 160 enthusiastic pupils from 13 schools across Stirling putting their endurance and determination to the test for a tough challenge.
