Blood Donation Camp organized at SMGS Hospital

Emphasizing the urgent need for voluntary blood donation, the Indian Society for Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology (ISBTI) J&K Chapter in collaboration with the Rotary Club Jammu Baahu, supported by NGO SUPPORT and the Maharaja Hari Singh Foundation, organized a Blood Donation Camp at SMGS Hospital Jammu.

The initiative, led by Rtn Dr. Navneet Kaur, a noted Social Reformer and Secretary General of ISBTI J&K, saw enthusiastic participation from youth volunteers and members of various communities who came forward in the spirit of selfless service to donate blood.
Dr. Vijay Shawney, Associate Professor, along with Dr. Naveen and other doctors and pathologists from the blood bank, praised the efforts of the organizers. They highlighted the critical importance of such humanitarian drives, especially in times when blood is urgently needed for Thalassemia patients and other emergency cases.
Dr. Navneet Kaur herself donated blood during the camp, further inspiring others with her commitment.
