Arun Gupta underlines on heightened vigilance, citizen sensitivity to ensure peace, security in Jammu

JAMMU: Emphasizing the need for constant vigilance in the current security landseape, Arun Gupta, Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, on ‘Tuesday addressed a press conference at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar; He was accompanied by senior party leaders Sanjay Kumar Baru and Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra.

Gupta underlined that peace in the region must not be taken for granted and cautioned against any complacency, stating that "no incidents for some time" does not justify lowering the guard.

He highlighted that daily pre-cision monitoring by concerned agencies is crucial to prevent any uncalled-for disasters.

Citing the issue of unautho-rized vehicle parking at loca-tions such as Maharaja Hari Singh Park and Bahu Plaza in Jammu, Gupta said these areas pose serious security concerns.

In today’s environment, even the smallest oversight can be exploited by elements with nefarious intentions.
