ACB arrests ASI for accepting bribe of Rs 8,000

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has trapped and arrested Mukhtar Ahmad Khan, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police Station Bemina, Srinagar, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000.

According to ACB spokesperson, the Bureau received a written complaint alleging that the accused officer, a resident of New Pulwama and Investigating Officer (IO) of FIR No. 88/2025 of Police Station Bemina, had demanded illegal gratification from the complainant despite the case having already been challaned before the compete
