Young: Dragons set to be a force again

THOMAS Young has warned Wales’ other regions that the Dragons don’t intend to be the whipping boys again this term.

The Gwent side finished bottom of the United Rugby Championship last season after recording just one victory. That came on the opening weekend of the campaign when they defeated the Ospreys at Rodney Parade.

But it was a tale of woe after that. Head coach Dai Flanagan departed to be replaced by Filo Tiatia, but the change failed to stem the losses.

The Dragons have moved to strengthen their squad during the summer, with Welsh international flanker Young one of a host of new arrivals.
