Rockspur rack up 50 as they look to keep title

IN the Macron West Wales Premier League, Rockspur Fords reached 50 league goals from their 14 matches with a 4-1 win at Llandarcy.

Calem Rees, Ryan Trick, man of the match Sam Lewis (penalty) and Matthew Hughes got their goals.

Cameron Williams had given Llandarcy a 36th-minute lead. The game was evenly contested and in the balance for an hour, but it was Rockspur who took their chances late on to secure the three points which keeps them on track for a third successive Macron WWPL title win.

Ynystawe Athletic were unable to follow up their superb win at Penlan as they slipped to a disappointing 4-0 defeat at home to West End.

The game was free flowing but on 30 minutes Darren Griffiths slotted home assisted by Nathan Wickham, to give West End a 1-0 halftime lead.
