Rees is the hat-trick hero as Bont bounce back in style to seal cup progress
South Wales Evening Post
|October 15, 2025
PONTARDDULAIS Town bounced back to form in the first round of the Macron West Wales Premier League Cup.
-
They won 4-2 at Llandarcy to move confidently into the next stage.
Pontarddulais started brightly, and their early energy paid dividends when Joel Beynon latched into a loose ball.
His pass to Iestyn Rees gave the striker plenty of time to settle himself before powerfully striking his effort into the top of the net from outside the box to give the visitors the lead.
Bont began to move the ball swiftly through midfield, with Ollie Rogers and Will Richards impressing. Llandarcy’s work rate was good but they could not find a way through the Pontarddulais defence.
