Poll shows support for UK Labour slumps to lowest level

A TRULY dire YouGov poll for Labour shows it has fallen to its lowest ever rating and reveals that just 17% of voters would back the party if a general election was held today.

The UK-wide polling suggests half of all voters who backed Labour at the last general election have deserted the party since it has been in government.

It comes after a disastrous week for the party following a thumping at Thursday's Caerphilly by-election.

Labour came a distant third, behind Plaid Cymru and Reform, with their vote share plummeting by 35% since the last election in 2021.

The historic by-election result demonstrated Labour is haemorrhaging support to Plaid Cymru, which won almost half of the vote.
