New woodland play area in heart of West Cross officially opens

IF you go down to the woods in West Cross today, you'll be sure to see a brilliant new play area.

The West Cross Woodland is the green heart of the community and now youngsters have officially opened its play area. West Cross Woodland's play area features a package of equipment including swings, a seesaw, multiplay units for toddlers and a witch's hat style roundabout.
The playground has been inspired by the influence of local residents, parents and children and also includes benches and three play panels and a sensory play panel. It was officially opened by council leader Rob Stewart.
The West Cross site is one of more than 60 to have been created or upgraded under an £8m Swansea Council scheme.
