PYLE and Kenfig made the most of home advantage to claim their third Welsh Men’s Team Championships title in five years.

Wales player Sean David led the way after starring in the Home Internationals, travelling back from hosts England and then getting straight back out to win his matches in the later rounds to help his home club over the line.

It was a local derby in the final as Pyle and Kenfig beat Southerndown, after a links course shoot out in the semis with Royal Porthcawl and Langland Bay going out at that stage.

Conwy and Pennard made the quarterfinals as links course clubs found an advantage at Pyle and Ken-fig, Mountain Ash and Mond Valley bucking the trend by also reaching the last eight.
