CARDIFF City are reportedly leading the race to sign Reading midfielder Charlie Savage this summer.

According to the Reading Chronicle, Cardiff are currently ahead of a number of rival clubs chasing the 23-year-old Wales international, with Lincoln City, Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday also interested.
Savage has been on Cardiff's radar for a number of years and the Bluebirds’ admiration for the midfielder had not gone away ahead of the summer transfer window.
The son of former Wales midfielder Robbie enjoyed a productive campaign with Reading in League One and is widely viewed as ready to make the step back up to Championship level.
