Join Joe on his run if you are struggling with mental health

A South Shields runner has set himself his latest mammoth challenge.

Joe Larkin, from South Shields, will run around the track at Monkton Stadium in Jarrow for 30 hours straight this weekend.

Having already run from South Shields to Paris in 2024 and from Madrid to South Shields earlier this year, Joe is now looking to take on a challenge closer to home.

He will kick off his 30-hour running challenge at 9am on Saturday, and will be looking to finish the event at around 3pm on Sunday.

Joe, who owns South Shields-based Believe to Run, wanted to do the challenge in South Tyneside so that people who are struggling with their mental health can come along and speak to him about their problems.
