Help Thanaa, 12, get to vocal comp

Twelve-year-old Thanaa Voterson from Milnerton has qualified for two national vocal competitions and will now represent South Africa in the international Mediterranean Legends competition in Spain and France.

Thanaa is the only child from Cape Town selected to take part in the prestigious event, which brings together top young vocalists from around the world.

"She has shown extraordinary dedication by organising multiple fundraisers to support her journey," said her father, Shareef Voterson.

"Last year, she hosted a show called Artists Unite at the Castle of Good Hope and gave back by singing at the Shawco Old Age Home on Christmas Day in Kensington, where her mother and aunts served lunch."

Despite her efforts, Thanaa has not yet raised the full amount needed to travel this weekend.
