Dangerous drivers caught on camera
Scunthorpe Telegraph
|April 24, 2025
DANGEROUS drivers in the Humber region have been exposed in shocking footage that was submitted to the police.
In the clips, all of which resulted in the drivers responsible being fined, offences such as brake checking and reckless overtaking were caught on camera in East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.
Brake checking involves a driver intentionally braking hard to cause the vehicle behind them to react suddenly. It is a dangerous driving offence and has a high risk of causing collisions.
In one of the clips, a driver is travelling at speed through a built-up area and ends up with a 12-month disqualification. There was also an instance of a driver on the wrong side of the road.
