Wilson's tipping Livingston to be creme de la Prem

DANNY WILSON says helping his hometown club return to the Premiership would help Livingston forget all about their Scottish Cup run coming to an abrupt end.

The Lions were tamed by St Johnstone on Monday when Graham Carey's stunner sent the visitors to Hampden.

However, former Rangers, Hearts and Liverpool defender Wilson is savouring a promotion race with Livi.

They are just six points behind Championship, leaders Falkirk and also have the SPFL Trust Trophy final against Queen's Park to come on March 30.

Wilson, 33, said: "It is a good buzz. I grew up locally so I always wanted to play for Livingston.

"It happens to be that this is the season I'm doing it and we're in a good place.

"I'm really enjoying it. It's always nice to come in to your work when you're winning, it's always easier as a player.

"We had a little dip during Christmas and New Year and that wasn't easy.
