Tory accuses Sturgeon of being a ‘part-time’ MSP

FORMER First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has been accused of putting herself before constituents after it was revealed she has earned more from second jobs than she has as a backbench MSP.

The Holyrood register of interests now shows an income of £182,500 from outside sources since the 54-year-old left her role as leader of the government two years ago.

Over the same period, she has earned around £145,000 from her role as an MSP for Glasgow Southside - having made few appearances in parliament.

Ms Sturgeon updated her entry on the register to include a payment of £76,500 for her memoir, Frankly.

This is the second instalment of the £300,000 advance for her 464-page book, which is due to be released in August.
