Earl and Co out to show they are cut above rest
-
ANDY FARRELL'S British & Irish Lions have been set the task of being one of the best touring teams of all time so they had better put their foot down.
Today's clash with an AUNZ Invitational XV marks the end of the two-games-a-week routine, with the first Test looming next Saturday.
The gruelling schedule has meant some players backing up in consecutive games on a Saturday then midweek and scrumhalf Alex Mitchell will make it six match involvements out of six, including the Argentina game in Dublin, if he comes off the bench this morning.
Farrell's tourists have hardly set Australia alight, although they are four wins from four Down Under and today's match is being overshadowed in Adelaide by Sunday's Aussie Rules game between Port Adelaide and West Coast.
