Teen killer who stabbed Ava, 12, is finally named

THE teenage killer who stabbed a girl of 12 to death only to be shielded and granted anonymity can finally be identified after he turned 18.

Harry Gilbertson was 14 when he stabbed Ava White in the neck after a Christmas lights switch-on in Liverpool in November 2021.

Gilbertson grinned after stabbing her and then went home to play Call of Duty. When detectives later quizzed him he said: “I’m not bothered” and told one officer: “Shut up, you nonce.”

He was convicted of Ava’s murder — sparked over a Snapchat video he took of her without her permission — and locked up for a minimum of 13 years.
