Super SPFs
Scottish Daily Express
|May 15, 2025
Hello heatwave! And with the welcome return of the sun should come a daily application of protective SPF to keep skin safe from its damaging effects.
-
The latest stats show that searches for "best sunscreen" are up 125% right now. Yet despite this, three out of four women here in the UK still don't wear it every day.
But wearing an SPF is genuinely the most anti-ageing thing you can do, as the UVA/UVB rays from the sun can cause all kinds of skin issues, like lines, wrinkles, pigmen-tation - and of course skin cancer.
WEAR SPF EVERY DAY
Repeat after me: I should be wearing SPF everyday. I should be wearing SPF everyday. I should be wearing SPF everyday.
Got it? Good.
So choose a formula that suits your skin - and a formula you enjoy applying. Opt for at least SPF30, better still SPF50. Pop it on as the last step in your skincare routine, seeing it as a sort of lid to top off your skincare products.
Know that it can be worn under make-up and can even make a good primer.
Here are the best new launches of the year so far...
