Hospital bosses finally admitted last week that its contaminated water supply may be to blame for these infections, and apologised to families impacted.
Greater Glasgow and Clyde board also admitted that “pressure” was applied to ensure the QEUH was opened when “it was not ready”.
Ms Sturgeon was First Minister at the time and her Health Secretary was Shona Robison. The hospital was opened in April 2015, just a month before voters went to the polls, despite concerns raised after tests in December 2014 highlighted the presence of microbes in the water supply.
