Shoplifter who stole £30m worth of goods in 20 years

Addict saved by pioneer drug after designer stores blitz

A SHOPLIFTER has claimed she stole a staggering £30million of goods in a 20-year crime spree.

Keeley Knowles says she took piles of designer clothes and bags from Birmingham stores to fund her heroin habit, raking in up to £8,000 a day by selling them online.

Her haul from just one shop was estimated at £3.7million of stock. But she turned her life around thanks to breakthrough drug treatment. Clean for 18 months, she is now sharing her story as a warning to others. Keeley, 42, of Kings Heath, says she would trick staff into revealing when security would be on duty.
