SCOTS SLUMP AS PUMAS POUNCE
Scottish Daily Express
|November 17, 2025
SCOTLAND were booed off the pitch yesterday as they let a 21-0 lead slip out of their hands.
And skipper Sione Tuipulotu admitted that the Murrayfield supporters - usually very slow to show their anger - were right to let the team know how they felt.
The Scots needed to win by at least 16 points to keep alive their slim hopes of being in the top pot of seeds in next months World Cup draw.
And, when they scored their third try without reply just a few minutes into the second half, that looked very much on the cards.
But a massive fightback by Argentina changed all that. And Glasgow centre Tuipulotu accepted that his side had simply lost their composure in the 33-24 defeat.
Asked if it was fair of the supporters to boo at the end, he said: “I think so, yeah. There’ a little bit of guilt there, because people pay good money to come and watch us.
“I think we need to cop this one as a playing group and put our hands up and say that's not good enough.
“We were 21 points up and we turned the ball over and then after that we lost our composure, didn't we?
