Sandie Peggie in new action against NHS Fife

A HEALTH board is facing the threat of fresh legal action by a nurse who has taken them to a tribunal in a gender row case.

Sandie Peggie is already pursuing a claim of discrimination and harassment against NHS Fife and a biologically male, transgender doctor, Beth Upton.

The situation arose after she complained about having to share a changing room with him at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where they both worked.

Now, in a new move, Ms Peggie is now accusing others within the health board of allegedly treating her unfairly.

Her solicitor, Margaret Gribbon, has confirmed that new legal action was raised in August against Fife Health Board.

Also named are Dr Kate Searle, Dr Maggie Currer and Esther Davidson.
