ROTHWELL ON BOARD FOR RUSS REUNION

RUSSELL MARTIN last night secured the signature of Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth - and will step up his bid to add Conor Coady's name to his new-look Rangers squad today.

After a sluggish start to the summer transfer window, Ibrox chiefs are finally starting to work their way through a lengthy list of targets.

Midfielder Rothwell, below, becomes the third new arrival following Lyall Cameron and Cherries team-mate Max Aarons. And Coady should be the next to check in, with Gers hoping to complete a move for the Leicester defender over the next 48 hours.

Rothwell will move north on a permanent deal having knocked back offers in Spain to hook up once again with Martin, who he worked with during a six-month loan spell at Southampton.
