Peggie row DID influence health board chief's exit

THE embattled departing Chief Executive of NHS Fife DID leave her role due in part to the Sandie Peggie case — despite the health board insisting this was not a reason why she was retiring early.

It was announced last month that Carol Potter was quitting next summer, after overseeing the high-profile tribunal. Calls were made for her to lose the massive payout she is entitled to, with NHS Fife confirming she wouldn’t be getting a “golden goodbye.”

She is paid £145,000-a-year and will leave on standard NHS Scotland terms and is entitled only to her normal monthly salary until her departure on June 30, 2026.

In correspondence received by the Scottish Daily Express through freedom of information legislation, it was revealed that she did admit that the ongoing row surrounding Ms Peggie played a part in her resignation.

‘The nurse is currently suing the health board after being forced to share the female changing rooms with a biological man.
