Nigel nips to 'Unionist' Larkhall pub after Hamilton exit

A PREMIER Inn, a Beefeater and a German Doner Kebab. Perhaps a perfect backdrop for the arrival of Nigel Farage who has proclaimed himself a man of the people. His campaigning has seen him enter barbershops, cafes and of course pubs where he enjoys a tipple with the working class.

But as journalists and photographers started to gather in the car park of the Hamilton Premier Inn all was not as it seemed. While Reform UK never officially announced he would be starting a walkthrough of the town from there, it was understood that he would be.

However, Farage was instead heading for Larkhall, a famously pro-Unionist part of Scotland, and one which has been neglected by the main political parties.
