Neanderthal 'Swiss Army knife' made of lion bones

SCIENTISTS have discovered the earliest form of prehistoric multi-tool “Swiss Army Knife” — made from cave lion bones.

Teams from Liverpool and Belgium said the 130,000-year-old bones were found in Scladina Cave, Andenne, and suggest Neanderthals used the remains to make tools.

Scientific advances have allowed experts to link the bones, found in the 1980s, to the lion.
