Mum: My vulnerable son was murdered by callous sex worker who he helped out

Callous Elizabeth Ann Sweeney battered Neil Jolly to death using a number of different implements, including a kettle.

The drug addict then waited three days before the 49-year-old's body was discovered inside his Aberdeen flat.

A post-mortem examination showed Mr Jolly had suffered injuries similar to those of a car crash victim.

Yesterday, Sweeney was jailed for life with a minimum recommendation she serve at least 18 years before being eligible for parole.

Judge Andrew Miller told her: "You murdered Neil Jolly by inflicting murderous blows in what must have been a prolonged and sustained assault.
