MATTY CONNELLY took pleasure and pride from a Motherwell debut that was 18 years in the making - and is now looking for more first-team action.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper, left, has been associated with the Lanarkshire club since he was four years old and came through Well's academy.
After loan spells at Falkirk, Gretna, Stranraer and most recently East Kilbride, he was given the nod by Well boss Jens Berthel Askou for Tuesday night's 2-1 Premier Sports Cup win over League One new boys Peterhead at Fir Park.
