King and Macron cement the new entente amicale

THE King's relationship with the French president appears stronger than ever, with heartfelt displays of affection between the two heads of state and their wives.
As Emmanuel Macron left Windsor Castle with his First Lady yesterday morning he blew a farewell kiss to the royals, and wife Brigitte gripped Charles' arm as he kissed her cheek.
The president also repeated Charles's phrase “entente amicale”, an upgrade to the “entente cordiale” between Britain and France, much to the delight of the monarch, who threw his hand up in the air in agreement and celebration.
