Writer Harlan Coben looks at real-life murders with a sting in the tail
-
He's sold more than 90 million books worldwide and more than a dozen of his thrillers have been adapted for TV. Now Harlan Coben is turning his hand to true crime in an exciting new series.
In Harlan Coben’s Final Twist, the US author explores five real-life murder cases, all with jaw-dropping endings worthy of one of his mystery novels.
Episode one explores the 2012 double murder of Billy Payne and his fiancée Billie Jean Hayworth. The pair were found killed in their rural Tennessee home, with their six-month-old baby unhurt in his dead mother’s arms. Billy had been shot in the head and had his throat cut, Billie Jean had one gunshot wound to the head. When police investigated they found cyber bullying, personal vengeance and the possible involvement of a covert CIA agent.
