Jamie stirs up the fight

JAMIE'S DYSLEXIA REVOLUTION (C4, 9pm) starts with an animated Jamie Oliver addressing a crowd of parents with dyslexic children. “Do you all believe that change is needed now?” he cries.
-
To which they shout back: “No, not really, Jamie. We reckon things are fine, but thanks for asking.”
No, of course they do no such thing. What they shout is: “Yes!” Someone even chips in with: “Absolutely!”
Me, I'd have probably yelled: “Well, yes, obviously.”
This, after all, is an issue people feel very strongly about. Rightly so.
Writing off dyslexic kids, dismissing them as “stupid”, is, in itself, idiotic, with potentially dire consequences, both for them as individuals and for society as a whole.
