Huw rises up from rock bottom to top the class

CENTRE Huw Jones has opened up on his roller-coaster week that ended with him playing a major part in securing the Lions' first Test series win for 12 years.

The Scotland midfielder had played the full 80 minutes in the first game against Australia before being told he was dropped three days after.

Head coach Andy Farrell informed Jones in Melbourne last Tuesday he was out of the 23 for the second Test and Garry Ringrose, right, was in.

But in a dramatic twist, Ireland star Ringrose pulled out on the Thursday after training, reporting concussion symptoms.

Jones was back in to play in front of 90,000 at the MCG, and scored a crucial try as the tourists fought back from 23-5 down to nail the series.
