OAP evicted from TV location

Ghosts are driving me out of home

A PENSIONER claims she is being evicted from her home on the estate where hit comedy Ghosts was filmed so it can be turned into a holiday let for fans of the show.

Baschea Walsh, 71, has lived on the grounds of West Horsley Place in Surrey for nearly 20 years.

But in July she was told she had until mid-November to move out so her cottage could be turned into a short-term let.

Ghosts, which ran from 2019 to 2023 on BBC One, followed the adventures of a couple sharing their home with a group of spirits.

It was filmed at the grade I-listed house, once owned by Henry VIII and latterly Bamber Gascoigne. The University Challenge host founded the charitable trust which runs it before he died aged 87 in 2022.
