BEN EARL got the taste of life as a British and Irish Lion Down Under - and he is desperate for a crack at New Zealand in four years' time when the red clan regather.
The England back rower played in six games on tour, including the first and third Tests of the 2-1 series win against Australia, and insists he is a better player than the one who finished the Six Nations.
Earl has seen how top players from other countries prepare and learned not to be so uptight about his game.
The 27-year-old said: "I've made friends for life. It showed me completely something different in terms of the rugby side of things.
