Davie's position 'untenable' over Glasto death chants failings
Scottish Daily Express
|July 02, 2025
BBC director-general Tim Davie is facing calls to quit after revelations he was at Glastonbury on the day chants calling for the death of Israel’s defence forces were broadcast live.
He was warned that his position is “untenable” and confidence in the broadcaster is collapsing on his watch.
There is anger at the airing of chants of “death, death to the IDF” by Bob Vylan singer Pascal Robinson-Foster. Former policing minister Sir Mike Penning urged Mr Davie to quit.
He said: “His position is completely untenable.”
