Dam good? Discussions on big return of beavers

BEAVERS are to return to Loch Ness after 400 years under the latest rewilding plan unveiled by environmentalists.
A “discussion” about the proposal is being run by Trees For Life in partnership with Beaver Trust during September and October.
The animals would be introduced to some waterways close to the loch between Fort Augustus and Lochend.
People who live and work in the area are being invited to put forward their views and concerns.
Beavers were hunted to extinction in Scotland in the 16th century, before being reintroduced in Knapdale in Argyll in 2009.
