Call to give disabled better opportunities

LEADING disability and carers charities from across Scotland have joined forces to demand better opportunities for disabled people.

Following the recent campaign by Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland to lift disabled people out of poverty and break down barriers to opportunities, 12 other Scots charities have joined the crusade.

In a letter to all Scotland's political party leaders ahead of the May elections, they have set out five goals highlighting a number of pressing issues they say should not exist in a country as rich as Scotland.
