April flowers, not showers as spring scorcher goes on

WEATHER records will just melt away today if the sun keep shining.
The Met Office says the country need 27.1 hours of sunshine over the final three days of the month if we are to match the 124.5 hours seen during April four years ago.
There were long bright spells over the last two days and the BBC is forecasting 15 hours of sunshine today.
The Met Office says the mercury in Glasgow is expected to touch 24C (75F) today and the Borders town of Kelso may see 23C (73F).
Aberdeen is tipped to become the hottest place in Scotland, eclipsing 2025's highest so far, the 22.7C (73F) seen at Aboyne in Aberdeenshire on April 10.
