Yoga instructor Venus was waiting at the W Hollywood hotel on my arrival for a welcoming sunset rooftop session overlooking the skyline.

It was the perfect stretch session to ease my jet-lagged muscles after a long-haul flight, and the recently refurbished hotel offers sublime comfort in a prime location. The hotel also offers a well-equipped gym and a rooftop swimming pool.

The Hollywood Walk Of Fame is just outside and you can get in your steps just walking along and checking out almost 3,000 famous names on the pavements. New additions include Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, tennis champ Billie Jean King, Green Day and Halloween film director John Carpenter.
