PROTESTERS blocked roads, lit fires and clashed with officers in France yesterday as they sought to bring the country to a standstill.
Riot police fired tear gas in Paris and other major cities as groups rallied to Bloquon tout, "block everything".
Protests piled pressure on president Emmanuel Macron and his new prime minister, Sebastien Lecornu, on his first day in office.
