42 years to fix potholes? Well, average wait time is now 103!

NEIGHBOURS on a badly potholed road say they'll be dead by the time it is resurfaced - after the council admitted that's not likely to be until 2086.
Dianne, Elaine and Ian survey the cul-de-sac
Horsham Close in Banbury, Oxfordshire, was last properly laid in 1983 and has had only patchwork repairs since.
But when homeowners complained to the council, they were told the average wait was 103 years.
Dad-of-two Stuart Cuckney, 59, said: "103 doesn't scare me as I've only got 20 years left in me. But you definitely notice it, it's bad."
Ian Bowyer, 66, and wife Elaine are original residents from when the cul-de-sac was built.
He said: "It hasn't had a full resurface in the 40-odd years. It keeps getting patched up, but when you get the frost, it comes up again.
