100,000 migrants to get homes 'young people here can only dream of'

MORE than 100,000 asylum seekers are set to be given taxpayer-funded houses, flats and bedsits under Home Office plans.
Ministers were accused of taking hard-working Britons “for a ride” as they splurge billions on accommodation, while young families fight to get on the housing ladder.
It comes as the migrant crisis is costing taxpayers £4.7billion a year.
Some 32,345 arrivals are living in hotels and 66,683 in “dispersal accommodation” in the UK.
But the Home Office says the latter could rise to 100,000 under the terms of asylum accommodation support service contracts (AASC) with Serco, Mears and Clearspring Ready Homes.
