|ScoopUSA, Volume 65 - Number 26
At a ribbon-cutting ceremony, local officials, community leaders, supporters, and partner organizations, Share Food Program (Share), the region's leading hunger-relief organization, and its partners officially opened a new 9,000-square-foot food distribution warehouse in Delaware County.
-
Amid deepening federal funding cuts impacting food banks nationwide, this critical facility represents a bold step forward in the fight against food insecurity as hunger relief organizations are being asked to do more with less. The new warehouse was celebrated as a central hub for food storage and distribution in Delaware County.
Before opening the doors to their new warehouse, Share began managing the charitable food system in Delaware County as part of a five-year contract approved by the County Council. Share is looking forward to continuing and deepening its collaboration with the County by establishing permanent infrastructure in the area.
