TWO of Redrow’s latest residents ‘at Daresbury Garden Village in Cheshire have struck up a lasting friendship after both moving from outside the area.

'It feels like I have known her for years'

Rebecca O'Regan and Anwen Vaughan-Maher first started chatting on the development’s community Facebook page, before realising they were next door neighbours.

“I moved from Wales and Rebecca from Yorkshire so we both didn’t know anyone, it was perfect moving in together at the same time,’ said Anwen.

Rebecca added: “We've moved around quite a bit, it's easier to make friends on a newly built estate as everyone is new and I find there’s always other people who are new to the area, just like my next-door neighbour!”

The new friends made the move to Daresbury Garden Village where Redrow is currently building 800 properties across 120 acres of land, with open spaces, green corridors and areas for play.

“We have only lived here six months, but it feels like I have known Rebecca for years.

“I worried that I would never settle moving from Wales, but I absolutely love it here and having Rebecca and her husband Steve just next door has made it so much easier,’ said Anwen.
