School's hospice team rises to fund challenge

Members of the Youth Enterprise team get ready to serve up drinks and popcorn ahead of movie night while (right) students fill the school hall to watch Home Alone

Fourteen students were on the team for the Rossendale Hospice Youth Enterprise Challenge and they began by brainstorming ideas of how they could grow the £50 they had been given.

Odhran Magee, 14, said: “We had lots of ideas and we chose what we thought would be the best ones.”

Alfie Hambleton, 14, said: “We decided to have a movie night after school.” The students used Google Form to put 10 suggested Christmas movies to the vote and the one that was most popular, with 58 per cent, was Home Alone.
