Two jailed after probe into firearms offences

Police said intercepted messages showed Dominik Pelikan discussing with Mohammed Raji a 'sinister' plan to source a firearm and shoot another individual.

"Just need to hit him once," Raji says in one message, GMP has revealed.

Pelikan, 20, of Mayfair Gardens, Rochdale, was jailed for eight years and nine months for four separate offences, including possession of ammunition and conversion of a firearm. Raji, 21, of Mansfield Road, Oldham, was jailed for seven years and six months for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Both were sentenced by a judge at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court on Tuesday.
