Boro show what they're all about
Rochdale Observer
|May 31, 2025
THE Boys from the Boro bounced back to winning ways after defeat at Darwen with the kind of all-round performance I know they are more than capable of, so well played boys, they thoroughly earned a very solid 10 point win.
It's always a competitive game at Middy but always played in a fine spirit between two great sets of mates that always ends with a thorough debrief in the bar.
Middleton won the toss and invited the visitors to bat at a very windy Towncroft. James Tierney and Addison Holland bowled very tidily but after 14 overs the visitors were 36-0 and brought the 50 up in the 17th over with Dan Stevens on 25 and Zac Perren on 22.
Stevens was the first to go for 25 when he chipped Dale Highton to James Price with the score on 60.
At halfway, the visitors were 81-1 and with the first ball after drinks, Matt Hernon was harshly adjudged caught behind, 81-2.
The 100 was brought up in the 30th over and when Perren brought his 50 up in the 32nd over the score had moved to 111 with visiting pro Bryce Parsons on 15.
