University Employees Democratic Front has appreciated the steps taken by Guru Nanak Dev University for flood affected families and has assured that they will participate in this campaign to the maximum extent and provide all kinds of support.
The President of the Front, S. Hardeep Singh Nagra, said that he appreciates the decision of the committee formed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Karamjit Singh, for the flood affected families. He said that the employees of the university have given their one day's salary for the flood affected families, due to which more than Rs. 50 lakhs have been collected. This amount will be used to adopt a village. Apart from this, keeping in mind the problems of the flood affected students, the university is planning to provide separate help, in which the Front will play a leading role. 'Neecha Nagar' to 'Laal Singh Chaddha': Yesteryear star Kamini Kaushal dies at 98
Actor Kamini Kaushal, one of Hindi cinema's earliest female stars who began her career with the classic 'Neecha Nagar' in 1946 and went on to act in a host of films right till 2022, has died in her Mumbai home, a close family friend said.
